Spring Cleaning the Kitchen {Spring Cleaning 365}

Spring Cleaning the Kitchen:

I don’t know about you, but my kitchen is the most used room in our house. With two boys, a husband, and the constant influx of guests, I feel like I spend half of my waking hours cooking. If your life is anything like mine, you know that constant kitchen duty means a sparkling clean kitchen can get extremely dirty is two seconds flat!
Of course washing dishes and doing a general wipe down is important to do on a daily basis. But every once in a while, you need to give the entire kitchen and everything in it a good scrubbing. Deep cleaning major appliances to remove all that gunk you’ve been trying to ignore is certainly important. It’s also good to deep clean pots & pans, small appliances, the trash can and even organize drawers, pantries, and closets.
What better time to deep clean the kitchen than when you’re in the Spring Cleaning mood! If you’re ready to tackle the kitchen in one big session, here’s a spring cleaning the kitchen cheat sheet to you can print and check off while you work.
If you’re a checklist kind of person and like to mark things off your list to feel productive, this will be right up your alley! Some of you may feel like your life is too hectic for a long cleaning session right now. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have a clean and organized kitchen too. It just means you need a different approach to Spring cleaning… Spring Cleaning 365 may just be the solution you’re looking for because we’re taking the baby step approach this year: one task, each day, all year.
We deep cleaned the kitchen earlier this year, but that doesn’t matter. You can start today with day one and work your way through the list over the next month. Whether you choose to follow the entire series on the Gluesticks Blog and have a marathon Spring Cleaning session or you decided to do a little each day, remember that perfection shouldn’t be the goal.
Just do what you can to make your home a little bit better today than it was yesterday. Since I’m new over here, I would love to hear from the Gluesticks readers! What are your plans for Spring Cleaning?
