Congratulations to the winner #14
“What would I do for a Klondike bar????? Love those darn things!”

This is our first full summer in California in over 8 years. We’ve been in Alaska and Ohio and while Ohio was stinking hot and humid, it never reached the temps that we have reached this year in California. 112! Yikes! We’ve put our deep freeze to good use. Right now it has probably 6 different kinds of ice cream in it. The perfect way to cool off and the perfect incentive for the kids to finish up their dinner. With 6 in our family, we all have our own personal favorites so having a good variety is always a good thing.
Unilever asked our family to sample their amazing line of ice cream companies. We were happy to oblige and super excited to extend this offer to one of my readers!
Good Humor  is always looking for ways to reinterpret classic American treats into ice cream form. This year is no different, as the brand is freezing up the delicious taste of birthday cake with the introduction of the new Good Humor® Birthday Cake Bar, featuring vanilla cake flavored ice cream surrounded by light vanilla ice cream and coated with cake crunch. Dallin’s favorite Good Humor ice cream is the Reese’s Peanut Butter ice cream bars.
When given a choice between a chocolate flavor or a fruity flavor, Aaron usually chooses fruit. This time was no different.  Fruttare is full of real fruit taste and comes in two varieties: Fruttare® Fruit and Milk Bars and Fruttare Fruit and Juice Bars.
Kaylee likes good ol’ fashioned ice cream in a bowl. It’s less messy for her little 4 year old fingers. She enjoys chocolate and lots of it. Breyers is one of our favorite brands because it comes as close to homemade ice cream as you are going to get. Ruby enjoys Breyers as well. Strawberry for her and Rocky Road for Kaylee. This year Breyers® is expanding its offerings to include seven new Breyers Blasts ® flavors, two new limited-edition seasonal varieties and a new Lactose Free Chocolate.
My personal favorite lately has been the Magnum Ice Cream  bars. The almond mini ones. Each one is only 160 calories and the perfect choice for me since I am attempting to count calories. Not a fun thing to do, but these bars help! They give me my chocolate fix and are the perfect controlled portion. Not to mention they taste amazing. I about freaked when I saw one of the kids eating one. They though it was a fun size for them too :) In addition to the introduction of MAGNUM Mini Gold?!, the brand is unveiling another new, rich and enchanting variety to its VIP list, the MAGNUM Mini Double Caramel Bars. These bars feature silky vanilla bean ice cream, luscious caramel sauce and rich Belgian milk chocolate.
Popsicle makes so many fun varieties of frozen treats. We especially like the fudge bars and Hello Kitty popsicles. We also sampled the Klondike chocolate mint bars. I didn’t even know that they sold the mint variety. They were amazing and refreshing and just plain fun to eat. A few weeks ago I picked up a box of their Choco Tacos and the kids thought those were pretty funny.
Ok, enough about my favorites. How would you like to receive one of each brand that I mentioned above? 6 boxes/cartons of your favorite variety? Fruttare,Magnum Ice Cream ,Popsicle,Breyers,Good Humor, and Klondike. A value of $35.
The lovely folks at Unilever would like to offer one Gluesticks winner 6 voucher/coupons to redeem at their local grocery store. FREE Ice cream. To enter, leave me a comment letting me know which one would be #1 on your list and why! Please also leave me an e-mail address so that I can contact you!
I will announce the winner on THIS POST on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. Good luck!!

    Phew! Thats a hard decision.
I grew up eating Popsicles, Mom always had Good Humor bars in the frig. Every time we went to the grocs store I would get a pack of Klondike bars which would not last the day. But the one I still get today is Breyers Strawberry (my favorite)and also French Vanilla Ice cream. I loved them all.

Oh my ice cream is always a sweet summer treat especially with temps like that! We reach the hundreds a lot but never that high unless you count the heat index. lol My son’s favorite is the Breyers Strawberry, mine is the fudge pops or the fruit pops and my husband is a plain vanilla guy. lol As is a few of our grandchildren. Now our other adult son’s love ice cream as well, so we always have plenty of ice cream on hand in this house. Like you I count my calories, but unlike you it all leads to my hips no matter how hard I try. lol Of course 6 kids and lots and lots of cooking didn’t help along with health issues. Enjoy the summer and that ice cream!!!

The Reese’s Peanut Butter ice cream bars would be on the top of my list because I’m crazy about peanut butter but have never tried these!

I have to choose a favorite ice cream? I have to say I’m usually all for the Breyer’s original in a bowl. Chocolate, just plain chocolate, and maybe add in a few nuts for some crunch. It’s a huge toss up between that and the Reese’s peanut butter cup ice cream bars. Can’t go wrong with chocolate and peanut butter.

    Thank you!

I would definitely have to say that I agree with you….Magnum bars! Chocolate, ice cream and almonds….how can you go wrong! Now you are making me think about them. Guess I will be taking a trip to the store this afternoon :)

I have been wanting to try the Magnum bars for a while now. They have some very decadent options but I would probably go with your favorite, the mini!

  7. says

Breyers Vanilla Fudge Twirl is definitely my favorite! Although for a fun memory treat the Choco Tacos are awesome. I was so excited to see them back after years of buying them from the ice cream truck when we were little!

  8. says

I’ve never had the Magnum bars, but they look great! It always depends on my mood. Sometimes the fruitares are what I’m craving and sometimes it’s chocolate. But at this moment, I would have to say I’m craving the Good Humor or the Magnum. Anything dipped in chocolate sounds soooo good right now! BTW… you know how to contact me if I win 😉

  9. says

Oooh, the Magnum Mini Bars, never had them but they look delicious!! Mini = fewer calories, almonds and chocolate = yum!!! So any will do, but that one especially! Love your blog!!

  10. says

I absolutely Love Ice Cream!!! Good Humor has to be my winner, as I adore Reese’s Peanut Butter anything!!!!
If I am the Lucky Winner, I am giving my beautiful Mama half of all of them, to share, and also because I know how much she Loves ice Cream!!!
    Happy Summer All :-)

The Reese’s are my first choice, chocolate and peanut butter is the best combination ever and it gets even better when ice cream is added to the mix! jefflammers at rocketmail dot com.

I LOVE Magnum bars! I was so excited to hear that they started selling them here in the states. I remember them from when I was in Europe 18 years ago! The double caramel ones are the best. And I am a huge fan of Breyers. Our favorite in the Smith home is Vanilla Chocolate Strawberry. Or maybe Cookies and Cream (not the Oreo one). I think Taylor would choose the fruit bars, though. Just like Aaron.

  13. says

I grew up with popsicles and Klondikes, but I have had my eye on the Magnums since I saw them at Target a few months back. They have a mini version that is like a bite sized ice cream candy bar.

  14. says

Very Hard to choose between the Magnum and Good Humor but I guess Good Humor because I love Reeses peanut butter cups and also would like to try the birthday cake Good Humor bar you described as well as like their strawberry shortcake and éclair kinds. thanks for the chance! 3lipps@cox.net

I would have to go with the Breyer’s chocolate ice cream! There really is something comforting and refreshing about a big bowl of yummy chocolate ice cream. A close second would be the Reese’s because there’s almost nothing better than the combination of chocolate and peanut butter flavors together! tishmartinez at gmail dot com

I would like to try the Magnum Bars because they are the only ones I haven’t tried. I have seen them in the store and they look so rich and delicious — I can’t wait to try them! We also love Breyers Strawberry Ice Cream — it’s the best!
