This Orange Sunrise Smoothie is the perfect combination of citrus and sweet. Fresh oranges, strawberry yogurt, frozen bananas and orange juice. The perfect way to start the day!
I’ve really been trying to focus on my health lately. Nothing drastic, but small changes to get back the energy I once had. After all, just 8 weeks ago I gave birth and my body is definitely not the same. I often find myself skipping breakfast with the business of getting the other four children out the door and my rush to get a few things done before the baby wakes up. This leaves me STARVING come lunch time so I usually just grab a snack. Something packaged and easy to devour that second. Bad idea. It’s a new year and time to focus on feeling healthy and staying healthy for my nursing baby.
I don’t like how I feel after eating a hot breakfast, so starting my mornings with a fresh fruit and Trop50 juice beverage smoothie gives me the energy I need to make it to lunch, without feeling the need to snack.
Orange Sunrise Smoothie
1 orange, peeled and sectioned
1 banana, sliced and frozen
8 cubes of yogurt, frozen
1 c. Trop 50
Many people will throw a handful of ice into their smoothie. I don’t do this. Instead, I freeze my yogurt in an ice cube tray and throw a handful of cubes into my smoothie. I also slice and freeze over ripe bananas to keep on and for a quick smoothie as well.
Here’s to a new year, a new baby, and a new ME!
