October is one of my favorite months of the year. Not only because we have several family birthdays, but also because of the cool air, warm aromas of baking, and pumpkins. Oh how I love pumpkins, and ours are almost ready to pick in our backyard pumpkin patch! We also love Halloween. Here is a collection of some of our favorite Simple Halloween Crafts that we’ve done over the years on Gluesticks. We will be adding more to this collection this year as the season rolls on!

Speaking of pumpkins…what time of year do you plant them. Do you have to replant them each year or what? I want to plants some for next year. Please email me back so I find the info. Thanks!

Katharine, I will reply here and then e-mail you too in case anyone else is wondering the same thing 🙂 We planted our pumpkin plant the end of May. I bought it from a nursery. I did not grow it from a seed. I’m not sure when you would plant the seed since zones are different in every state. We are in California and can plant seeds earlier. We put it at the very edge of our garden, near the fence and back of the house so that it had room to spread out behind the garden instead of in the garden. Unless you leave a pumpkin out all season and let it rot and go to seed, you will need to replant your plant each year. Hope this helps! Like I said in the post, it was so fun to watch grow and so rewarding to get a wheel barrow full of pumpkins! Good luck next year! 🙂
