What can you make with a 2-liter soda bottle and some tape? Why, the best homemade sprinkler around, that’s what!
Living in an RV park for 2 months with 5 children is a great motivator to get creative! During the day, while the kids were finishing up their last month of school, the RV felt so roomy. Now that school has ended s we definitely feeel the tightness of our living quarters! The kids enjoyed a lot of time outside playing in the trees, going on walks around the lake, playing on scooters, and doing side walk chalk, but a heat wave rolled in this past week. Temps hitting upwards of 108. No joke. Derrick got creative and made the kids a homemade sprinkler out of a 2 liter soda bottle and some duct tape. It was, literally, a 5 minute project.
Leaving California next week won’t help us escape from the heat. We’ll be traveling through Southern Utah, Colorado, Kansas, and hitting the humidity of Missouri, Kentucky, and North Carolina as we make our way to Virginia—which is having temps in the high 90’s with 90% humidity right now. Heaven help us as we acclimate to our new home state! I think we’ll bring this homemade sprinkler with us 😉
We’ve teamed up with Little Passports site to share the full tutorial on their site this week. Click here to see exactly how he made our homemade sprinkler!
