Christmas Ornament Wreath

I absolutley love ornament wreaths and was sad when the one I had on our front door the past 2 years fell apart. I used glass ornaments and they just did not hold up well to the cold and windy winters in Ohio. But it was a beautiful wreath! So I kept an eye out after Christmas last year and bought a HUGE tub at Target of 100  plastic ornaments for around $10.

Using the technique from the last wreath, I strung up coat hangers (2 of them tied together since this door is quite large and needed a larger wreath) and used some of the leftover ones to decorate the garland.

I love how it turned out. It looks so welcoming and bright!

Love it Brandy, how difficult is it to work with the wire hangers?

    Hey Mel,

They aren’t too hard to work with in this project since the shape doesn’t have to be completely perfect. Just rounded. A good pair of wire cutters is handy too. I didn’t have a good pair so it was a lot of bending back and forth before the wire would snap. There is a link to a full tutorial on my post from the last wreath I made.
