It’s lightweight and easy to drag around the house. It would be easy to bring to Grandma’s house, too!

And it rocks! The nose is kind of squishy, and I figured out that if you pinch it—it’ll squeak. That made me laugh. If you like this rocker, you’ll LOVE my T-rex dinosaur rocker!

Note from my mommy: I love toys that inspire imaginative play. This is just one of the many toys from Step2 that I love for this reason. He can rock and play and get out energy and it stores easily in the corner when not in use!

Research has found that there is a link between make-believe play and a child’s development of creativity and social skills.

Imaginative play is so important for development and helps children build social skills. Make-believe play with others helps children learn how to share ideas, and be open to other children’s thoughts and opinions. I love watching my kids come up with make-believe scenes and scenarios. It makes me miss my childhood days that were so care-free and fun!

Here are more toys that inspire imaginative play that we own and LOVE

The Ultimate Play Kitchen for Kids (and apron tutorial): make a darling apron to wear while helping mom in the kitchen or make-believe cooking and baking in your play kitchen! This play kitchen combines all of your favorite toy elements with a farmhouse sink, fancy backsplash and stainless steel (looking) appliances!

Our Favorite Backyard Playhouse (and felt flower box tutorial): A darling backyard playhouse with a fun addition—a flower box! This flower box is made out of a wooden CD storage crate and holds silk flowers! Our favorites are tulips.

A Great Kids Table for Two (and tie dyed toast): A great craft and snack table for kids that tucks away in a corner for storage. The chairs even slide underneath! We’ll share a fun tie dyed toast activity that kids can paint and then eat together!

Backyard Bubble Table and Homemade Bubble Solution: Make your own bubbles to use in this fun and hands-on backyard bubble table.
