Ingredients

  • 3 bananas
  • 1 1/2 cups melting chocolate or chocolate chips
  • 6 popsicle sticks
  • 12 candy eyes
  • 6 orange M&Ms
  • 12 orange candy melt wafers
  • 3 jumbo marshmallows

Instructions

  • Peel and cut bananas in half. Arrange on a baking sheet (lined with wax or parchment paper) and slide a popsicle stick into the bottom of each banana. Freeze until firm (about an hour).
  • While bananas are freezing, cut jumbo marshmallows in half. Gently pull on each piece to create an oval shape for the penguin's belly. Set aside.
  • Melt chocolate chips in microwave-safe bowl for 30 seconds. Stir. Continue to microwave in 15-second intervals until chocolate chips are melted and smooth.
  • Dip each bananas pop into the melted chocolate. Let excess dip off.
  • Add eyes and an M&M beak. Then press one of the marshmallow slices onto the front for the belly and 2 orange candy wafers on the bottom for feet.
Note: if the chocolate hardens before you finish, no worries. Spoon a small amount of melted chocolate onto the banana and press the details onto it.
  • Place penguin pops onto baking sheet and freeze until ready to serve!

Notes

We’ve found that they are best eaten fresh so only make enough to eat on day 1 or 2.
