Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

These slow cooker buffalo chicken sandwiches take about a minute to prepare, then slow cook to perfection. Serve on buns and drizzle with ranch or blue cheese dressing!

  • 1.5 lbs. chicken breasts approx. 4 large halves
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 (12 oz.) buffalo wing sauce divided
  • 1/2 pkg. dry ranch dressing mix


  • Combine chicken breasts, broth, butter, HALF of the bottle of wing sauce in a slow cooker.
  • Cook on high for 4 hours or low for up to 8 hours.
  • Remove chicken breasts, shred.
  • Add shredded chicken back into the crockpot. Give it a taste. If you'd like more spice, add more wing sauce and stir.
  • Serve on buns or rolls. Drizzle with ranch or blue cheese dressing, if desired.


Note: wing sauce and hot sauce are two separate things. Do not use hot sauce in this recipe. Our favorite wing sauce is Texas Pete.
