Homemade Peanut Butter

Make your own homemade peanut butter with the kids for a fun activity and snack! Just like the delicious natural peanut butter that you grind at the health food store.

  • food processor or blender
  • spatula
  • measuring spoons
  • rubber spatula


  • 2 cup roasted peanuts unsalted
  • 2 tbsp. oil
  • salt or honey to taste


  • Place peanuts in food process or blender. Blend until it resembles coarse sand (30-60 seconds).
  • Open lid and push peanuts down with spatulata.
  • Add oil. Replace lid.
  • Blend until smooth (about 60 seconds).
  • Add a tiny amount of salt or honey, if desired.



This recipe makes 1 1/2 c. of peanut butter. Store in an air tight container in the refrigerator up to 2 months.
