Fresh Peach Cobbler Recipe

This cobbler is made with tree ripened peaches and is just about the easiest peach cobbler to make! Delicious with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

Ingredients

Filling

  • 5-6 cups fresh peaches sliced
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice

Batter

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Place sliced peaches in a large bowl. Add sugar, cinnamon, flour and lemon juice. Stir. Set bowl aside.
  • In a separate bowl combine the ingredients for the topping: flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add milk. Stir.
  • Pour melted butter into a 9x13 baking dish. Pour batter over melted butter.
  • Pour peach mixture over batter. Spread peaches out evenly.
  • Bake 1 hour. Top should be golden and bubbly.
  • Let stand 30 minutes-1 hour before serving. Cut into 9 portions and serve with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
