Painted Shoes For Kids

Let your creativity shine by painting your own shoes! Use acrylic paint or fabric paint, in any color you'd like. These DIY painted shoes for kids are perfect for summer!

Instructions

  • Remove shoe laces and tape off soles of shoes to protect the rubber on the sides from paint.

  • You can use a pencil to sketch out a design or outline before painting if you want.
    Paint shoes in thin layers of paint and let dry completely between different colors and layers (a blow dryer or heat gun will speed up the process).

  • Spray shoes with a coat of Scotchguard or add a thin layer of mod podge (optional).

  • Remove painter's tape. Add shoe laces and wear your new shoes!

Tip: To make your own fabric paint, mix 2 parts acrylic paint with 1 part fabric/textile medium.
