Grandma's Hot Honey Lemonade

Hot honey lemonade is perfect to sip while sick or on a cold day. This is my Grandma's recipe and she would make it for me when I was little. Many sore throats were soothed with this hot lemonade.

Ingredients

  • juice from 1 lemon or 3 Tbsp. bottled lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp. honey (more or less to taste)
  • 1 cup hot or boiling water

Instructions

  • Squeeze lemon juice into a mug.
  • Add honey.
  • Pour hot water over lemon juice and honey and stir.

Notes

Hot lemonade can be made with fresh lemon juice or bottled lemon juice.
You can make a large batch of hot honey lemonade and store the leftovers in the refrigerator. Let it come to room temperature and then transfer it to a container. Reheat by microwaving a single cup portion or heating to a simmer over the stove.
