HOW TO MAKE PORK CHOPS AND RICE IN A SLOW COOKER
Place pork chops at the bottom of a slow cooker.
Cover with cream of mushroom soup.
Sprinkle onion soup mix over the soup.
Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours.
HOW TO MAKE PORK CHOPS AND RICE ON THE STOVE
Heat a large skillet on medium-high heat. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
Once the oil is hot, add pork chops to the skillet and brown pork chops on both sides (2-3 minutes per side).
Pour cream of mushroom soup over pork chops and spread evenly.
Sprinkle onion soup mix on top. Stir gently to combine the soup and seasoning.
Cover, reduce heat to LOW, and let simmer for 10-15 minutes to allow pork chops to finish cooking and sauce to heat through and look like gravy. If you'd like to thin out the sauce, add a few tablespoons of water or chicken broth. I don't do this until the end, as the sauce will thin down as it simmers anyway.

Notes
Serve over rice with extra gravy spooned over the top. The onion soup mix is salty; no additional salt is needed to season the pork chops.Calories do not include rice.
