German Pancakes

Buttery puffy German pancakes are delicious, served with powdered sugar and fresh fruit. A favorite for breakfast, just like the ones my Grandma made.

Ingredients

  • 5 Tbsp. butter melted
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla optional
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  • Slice butter into small squares, place into a 9x13" baking dish, and place the baking dish into the oven to melt the butter while the oven preheats to 425 degrees.
  • Beat eggs with a whisk. Whisk in flour and mix until there are no clumps. Add salt, vanilla, and milk. Stir.
  • Pour into prepared baking dish.
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until the edges are puffy and golden. Serve warm with powdered sugar and fruit.
