Amazing French Dip Sandwiches
I worked at a restaurant in college that served the best French dips. Roast beef dip, turkey dip—they were both amazing served on a roll with delicious au jus and a side of fries. I hadn’t ever had a French dip until I started working there, and it’s been my favorite sandwich ever since.
We have French dips every year on my birthday and Mother’s Day. The quickest way to make them is with slices of deli roast beef. Load up a roll with roast beef and make a simple au jus with beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. When I really want to take my sandwiches up a notch I make them in the slow cooker with a chuck roast. I use a combination of low-sodium beef broth and Worcestershire sauce for the most flavorful au jus. I hope you like these as much as we do!
French Dip Sandwich Ingredients
- 3-pound chuck roast
- 1 package dried onion soup mix
- 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
