This easy granola recipe is sweetened with honey and brown sugar and loaded with delicious add-ins like coconut, almonds, and raisins. Customize it however you'd like to make it your own! Delicious served in yogurt parfaits, as breakfast cereal, or as a snack!
Add oats, brown sugar, coconut, nuts, and salt to a large mixing bowl. Stir to combine.
Add honey, oil and water. Stir to combine.
Spread granola evenly in 2 shallow baking sheets and bake at 275 degrees for 30 minutes.
Stir the granola and rotate the baking sheets. Bake another 30 minutes. Stir granola once more. Bake an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the granola and coconut are golden brown.
Add diced dates and raisins as desired to the cooled granola. Note: Granola may feel moist, but it will dry as it cools.

Homemade granola is best stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks. Wait until it is completely cool and dry before packing it up into containers.Granola can be frozen for up to 2 months. Allow to thaw at room temperature. It might not be as crunchy as it was freshly baked, but will still be delicious.
