We decided to celebrate with a Star Wars Pajama Party during Thanksgiving break.

We invited friends and it was a ton of fun! The boys had a great time watching “Return of the Jedi” with their lightsaber yogurt swords, cosmic cereal stars, Princess Leia buns, Star Wars™ Cereal Bar, and more! I can’t wait to share all of the details with you!

Star Wars Pajama Party Set Up

star wars cereal and pajama party
This was, by far, the EASIEST party I’ve ever set up. The kids had been eyeing all of these fun Star Wars™ cereal boxes at Walmart so we decided to do a cereal bar.

Breakfast for dinner is one of ourĀ favorite things to doĀ and since the boxes of cereal were already decorated, and came with Star Wars™ figures inside, decor was super easy!

Star Wars Pajama Party Food

I had cereal in jars as well as in boxes, making sure to get everyone’s favorite kind for a great variety.

We now have 5 out of the 6 Droid Viewers that are in specially marked boxes of General Mills cereal. The hunt is on for the 6th one!

I set out a tray of bowls, utensils, and cups for OJ, milk, and chocolate milk.

fresh fruit for cereal bar
A fresh platter of fruit was perfect to spoon into the bowls along with a scoop of cereal, and a splash of milk.

I also made a batch of Honey Nut CosmicĀ Stars and Princess Leia Buns to accompany our cereal bar!

We like to freeze our Go-GurtĀ® and eat them that way so I made theseĀ felt lightsaber handles for our yogurt lightsabers to slide into. They were a HIT!

And now for even more behind the scenes details on our party including free printables, a recipe, and a tutorial!

star wars pajama party tablescape
My backdrop was super easy. I bought 2 black vinyl table cloths for $.97 and used glue dots to attach white paper stars that I had cut out with a paper punch.

I used wooden crates covered in burlap to give a Jedi/Yoda vibe to the tablescape. Both of which I already had leftover from another party. $1 frames and printables were perfect to label the foods and tie everything together.

Since our party was in the evening, and the movie started after dark, the kidsĀ had fun holding glow sticks and lightsabers to light up the room.

I created a printable invite that you can use for your next Star Warsā„¢ party! Here is a blank version. YouĀ can add text to using your favorite photo editing program (I use PicMonkey).

I didn’t grow up watching Star Wars™ like most of my friends. I actually didn’t see any of them until I was adult. My husband jokes that I was probably the first adult to ever watch them in order starting with Episode 1 in 2001 and seeing them sequentially after that, ha! Ā Did you grow up loving the series?Ā
