French bread stroganoff loaf is a quick and easy weeknight meal that my kids love—and I do, too! Served with a giant green salad it’s the perfect weeknight dinner. It’s also a hit served as an appetizer. I make this exactly how I made stroganoff for my family—minus the noodles! I pile the filling onto a loaf of French bread, sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and bake until golden and bubbly.

You can eat it straight off the pan, but it really is better to let it sit for 10 minutes so that the cheese can cool off a bit. I like the $1 loaves of French bread from Walmart. Slice it in half and it is just the right size.

Ground beef or ground turkey? That’s totally up to you. I always buy ground turkey so that is what I use. If you use ground beef be sure to drain it before adding the cream of mushroom soup and other flavorings!

If you have leftover stroganoff loaf, wrap in foil and refrigerate. It makes great leftovers the next day! Simply reheat in a toaster oven or oven.

This is a pretty little refresh of a post originally shared in 2013. One of our FAVORITE family dinners!

I made this for dinner and it was delicious. Only one of my picky kiddos liked it, but my hubby and myself thought it was awesome. Thanks for the recipe.

I don’t add water, but if you feel it is too thick, you can add a little to thin it out. Hope that helps! 🙂
