Beadable Pens
These beadable pens are adorable and super easy to make! I’m the craft coordinator for our church summer camp and was looking for one more craft to add to last year’s lineup. My friend showed me the beadable pens that she made for the teachers that she worked with, and I knew the girls at camp would love them too. They ended up being a huge hit with both the girls and leaders!
I’ve made them with my kids as gifts for their teachers, and even gave a beadable pen kit to my niece for her birthday.
The pens twist into two pieces and are strung with beads. You can use all kinds of beads, but I prefer silicone. It can be a little overwhelming with all of the options! I used a variety of solid silicone beads and picked out some fun focal beads. Feel free to add other embellishments like tassels, rhinestone beads, or charms.

Beadable Pen Tutorial
Step 1: Unscrew the top of each pen shaft (the colorful cap).
Step 2: String the beads onto the shaft. I recommend only using one large focal bead. The shaft isn’t very big, so you’ll only be able to fit a few beads on it.
Step 3: Screw the base back onto the shaft.
The pens come with ink refills, which is great because the ink reservoirs are very small. You can package the pen with a refill when you gift these.
