Did you know that you can make homemade Butterfingers with only 3 ingredients?! Peanut butter, chocolate and candy corn. These homemade butterfinger bites taste amazing and are the real deal, friends! If you’re looking for another homemade candy bar recipe, try our Homemade Almond Joy and Mounds bites!
This post was originally shared in 2011 and now includes a video! Such a fun and unique recipe to make in the fall when it’s candy corn season!

Watch our step by step video!

Butterfingers are one of my favorite treats, and these homemade Butterfingers are kind of dangerous. I don’t really care for candy corn, but I’ll buy a couple of bags during Halloween season just so that I can make these! It’s been 9 years since I originally shared how we made homemade butterfingers.

I’m not even sure where the original recipe came from. I found it online, but it was before the days of Pinterest.  Now you’ll find it all over the place, and for good reason! Candy corn + peanut butter. Such a unique combination of ingredients. And who knew that you can melt candy corn in the microwave? No candy thermometer, stove or tempering involved to make this homemade candy!

How to Melt Candy Corn in The Microwave

Oh my gosh! I made your Twix candies and they were out of this world but this recipe? I just can’t describe how good this is! I loved it when I went to cut them up into the squares and you could hear tthe crunch that a butterfinger bar has! It tasted so good. I might not give any of these away and will hide them for myself! Your recipes are just the best!!! And so try to the flavor.

Word of caution! The candy corn is scalding hot! I underestimated it and some splashed out and burned my hand. Really bad second degree burn! So id suggest wearing rubber gloves to avoid a bad burn! I can forgive this recipe because they are so good just be careful

I love this! I made this last weekend for my sister in law’s birthday and everyone loved them. I just have one question. How the heck do you clean off the melted candy corn? The first time I didn’t soak the (plastic) bowl in water right away and I scrubbed and rubbed for a good 20 minutes before I finally got it all off. This time I’m soakingthe bowl in hot water but iit’s still pretty stubborn? Any tips on cleaning the candy corn aftermath?? Thank you!
