Tips and Tricks
- How to clean melted candy corn from the bowl. The candy corn needs to be melted down in a microwave-safe bowl. After you pour the mixture into a baking dish to cool, make sure to soak the bowl in warm soapy water. This will make cleaning the bowl a bit easier.
- Use caution with the hot mixture. The melted candy corn will be hot. Use caution when removing the bowl from the microwave and mixing the peanut butter into the hot mixture.
- Line the baking dish with parchment paper. Parchment paper makes it a breeze to remove the butterfingers from the baking dish when cutting and dipping them in chocolate.
Ingredients

If you can remember 16 oz. You can easily memorize this recipe. You'll need 16 ounces of each ingredient.

How To Make Butterfingers With Candy Corn

Step 1: Microwave the candy corn in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between each interval, until smooth and melted. This will take about 2 minutes.

Step 2: Stir in peanut butter with a sturdy (wooden) spoon. Work quickly because the candy corn mixture will start to cool and harden.

Step 3: Line a small baking dish/pan (8" x 8") with parchment paper and spread the mixture in the baking dish. Chill 30 minutes.

Step 4: Cut filling into bite-sized squares using a sharp knife. Refrigerate until ready to dip in chocolate.

Step 5: Melt chocolate in 30-second intervals in the microwave. Stir between each interval. Dip squares into chocolate, tapping fork against the bowl so that the excess chocolate can drip off.

Step 6: Place butterfinger bites on a baking sheet lined with wax or parchment paper. Store homemade butterfingers in the refrigerator.
Top Tip
Keep undipped squares in the refrigerator and work in small batches. The longer they sit out, the faster they soften. It's easiest to dip the squares when they are cold.

Brandy says

Shayla says
Are these more creamy then hard? I love butterfingers I just don’t like how hard they are I’d rather have a creamy version
Brandy says
Hi! These are hard, and not as crisp as butterfingers. A little more dense. I’m sorry!
Neil D Morrison says
Word of caution! The candy corn is scalding hot! I underestimated it and some splashed out and burned my hand. Really bad second degree burn! So id suggest wearing rubber gloves to avoid a bad burn! I can forgive this recipe because they are so good just be careful

I love this! I made this last weekend for my sister in law's birthday and everyone loved them. I just have one question. How the heck do you clean off the melted candy corn? The first time I didn't soak the (plastic) bowl in water right away and I scrubbed and rubbed for a good 20 minutes before I finally got it all off. This time I'm soakingthe bowl in hot water but iit's still pretty stubborn? Any tips on cleaning the candy corn aftermath?? Thank you!
Brandy says
I just soaked it in warm soapy water, but it was still a pain! Glad yours turned out great and sounds like they were a hit!! 🙂
