Fluffernutter Rice Krispies Treats
If you’re here you already know what fluffernutter is. It’s the classic combo of marshmallow fluff (marshmallow creme), that comes in a jar, and peanut butter on bread to make a fluffernutter sandwich. Our fluffernutter treats combine the peanut butter and marshmallow flavors and add in rice krispies cereal. Chewy, soft, spongy, loaded with melted peanut butter morsels, and just plain GOOD.
Fluffernutter Rice Krispies Treats Are
Soft and Chewy:Â the melted marshmallow and peanut butter mixture makes these treats ridiculously soft and chewy.
Loaded with Peanut Butter Flavor:Â with both peanut butter and peanut butter chips there is no shortage of nutty goodness.
Spongy:Â My tip for making spongy rice krispies treats is to toss in half of a bag of mini marshmallows at the END. Right before transferring the mixture to the pan. The mini marshmallows melt slightly from the warmth of the melted marshmallow and peanut butter mixture, but not all the way. The bits of mini marshmallows that don’t melt make the treats ultra spongy.
Easy to Make:Â these treats are a quick, 15-minute dessert.
This recipe makes 12 giant treats. You, of course, can cut them into 24 smaller portions.

Hi!
These sound wonderful! I’d love to make them but I’m in the Netherlands and I haven’t a clue what ‘peanut butter chips’ are. Would I be OK using slightly ground peanuts? IOr are those chips easy to make at home?
Brandy says
Hi Petra! Peanut butter chips are peanut butter flavored chocolate chips. You can just leave them out if you don’t have them there!
