If cake pops intimidate you, don’t fret! Rice Krispies pops are SO much quicker and easier and you can customize them a million ways. These mummy pops take about 10 minutes to make start to finish and are perfect for packaging up in Halloween treat bags! This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. If cake pops intimidate you, don't fret! Rice Krispies pops are SO much quicker and easier and you can customize them a million ways. I’m such a sucker for fun holiday and seasonal treats. Give me a blank canvas like a Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies Treat® and I’ll give it a huge dose of cuteness with a sprinkling of ridiculousness any day of the week!

These Mummy Rice Krispies Treats are so EASY to make, especially with the individually packaged treats. I bought a box at Kroger, along with some fun variety packs of snacks to create Halloween treat bags. These would be perfect to hand out at a Halloween party or activity this year! You could even set up a station for guests to pick out what they’d like to put in their treat bag! It’s fun sharing treats that I remember having as a child with my own children. Rice Krispies Treats are a part of childhood! You can find more treat inspiration here!

Melt chocolate in a double boiler* or in the microwave, according to the instructions on the package.

DIY double boiler: place a pot on the stove. Add 1-2 inches of water.  Heat until the water is simmering. Reduce heat to low. Place a glass or metal bowl over the pot. The bowl needs to be big enough to not sink into the water and make sure that there is space between the water and the bottom of the bowl. Add chocolate chips to the bowl and stir until melted.

I don’t decorate for Valentine’s Day (still re I don’t decorate for Valentine’s Day (still recovering from Christmas 😂), but I always have holiday candy on hand! This year I filled the jar with petite sour hearts after hearing how amazing they are from @triedandtruemoms. They were right, we are all fans over here! Maybe more places will stock them now that they are in such demand. I ordered mine from @candynationusa (don’t waste your time looking on Amazon. They are charging twice as much for less candy).

Today we made our favorite green smoothie. It’s all about balance—-just kidding. We all know that’s a lie. I have like 10 healthy recipes on my site and 800 breads and desserts. 😂

Tip: when buying produce, buy extra to freeze. I buy an extra pineapple, an extra package of grapes, an extra bunch of bananas and an extra bag of spinach and freeze them for smoothies. I slice everything up and freeze it on baking sheets then bag it up. It makes it easy to grab a handful to toss into a blender. You can freeze entire bags of spinach too and add a handful to smoothies. I always blend my spinach and water first then add the rest of the fruit. No little spinach chunks in the smoothie that way. 🙌🏻

A great project to work on during Christmas break. She’s making herself a pink one after Christmas. We bought several colors of bulky yarn at Walmart for $2.97 each. Each skein makes 1 hat. Tomorrow is all about gingerbread cookies for Sant Tomorrow is all about gingerbread cookies for Santa (although the Santa who comes to our house prefers sugar cookies. He can share these with Mrs. Claus). Ruby has them all picked out—-gingerbread boys, gingerbread girls, and ninja-bread cookies. Should be fun. Had to go out and get more molasses and it wasn’t easy to find! Everyone else must be making gingerbread, too!
