We all love peanut butter blossoms, the classic peanut butter cookie with a Hershey's kiss on top, but these no bake peanut butter blossoms are right up there on the tastiness scale. So delicious and easy to make and a great addition to holiday platters! Our no bake version stays soft for days and are the perfect combination of peanut butter and chocolate.

    No Bake Peanut Butter Blossoms

Our version starts out with a peanut butter Rice Krispies base. The SAME base that I use for Scotcheroos! The mixture is formed into balls then a Hershey's kiss is pressed into each cookie while they are still warm.

Once they are cool they are easy to pick up and package, without being sticky.

    • 1 cup light corn syrup
    • ½ cup white sugar
    • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
    • 5 cups Rice Krispies cereal
    • 34-36 Hershey's kiss candies

How To Make Peanut Butter Blossoms

Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

    peanut butter mixture in saucepan

Heat syrup, peanut butter, and sugar over medium heat until smooth and the sugar has been dissolved. No need to bring it to a boil or simmer, it just needs to be warm enough to melt the peanut butter and the mixture is nice and smooth.

    Remove from heat.

Pour peanut butter and syrup mixture over 5 c. of rice cereal. Stir until completely coated.

bowl of peanut butter Rice Krispies mixture

Scoop the mixture onto the baking sheet using a small cookie scoop (1 ½ Tbsp.) or a spoon.

The mixture will be sticky at first, but if you let the cookie balls sit on the baking sheet for a few seconds they will start to cool and you can easily shape them with your fingers.

Press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.

When do you add the butterscotch chips? That's what makes them scotcharoos.

The recipe states that they are similar to scotcheroos in the fact that you use the same Rice Krispies base. They are not scotcheroo peanut blossoms.

You can use honey instead. It will alter the flavor, but if you like the flavor of honey it’ll be fine!

Hi Kay! This is actually my grandma’s scotcheroo recipe that I’ve shared variations of on the site a couple of times. I just added the Hershey kisses on top! 🙂
