We set up Mac’s preschool corner this week, and he absolutely loves sitting on his stool and working on projects. He says he is doing his “homework”.
I decided to keep him home from preschool this year. He is only 3, and has two more years before kindergarten. He is my baby, and I just wasn’t ready for him to leave just yet. Instead, we made him his own little space. Full of bright colors, art supplies, Legos, and play doh.
This Build & Store desk and bookcase are from Step2 and fit in this little space perfectly! I especially love that it doubles as a Lego building station.
His Duplos, Mega Blocks, and Legos all work with the removeable play mats!

(step by step instructions are at the end of the post)
He loves coloring with dot markers so I created coloring pages on Picmonkey, and glued the pages onto large popsicle sticks to make puzzle sticks.
These puzzle sticks are so easy to make!
Puzzle Stick Supplies
- Paper
- Spray Adhesive
- Large Popsicle Sticks
- Markers/Crayons
- Painter’s Tape
- Craft Knife
Print out our free coloring pages onto cardstock paper (copy paper works too). Color them however you’d like, then adhere to jumbo popsicle sticks that have been taped together with painter’s tape! Slice into sticks and mix up the sticks!
We store our puzzles by wrapping the sticks with a rubber band.
