I first made baked cinnamon chips for my kids in the shapes of bats for Halloween when they were little. They were such a hit and tasty too. You can use cookie cutters to cut the tortillas into any shape you'd like, but my favorite way is to simply slice the tortillas into triangles to minimize waste. These cinnamon tortilla chips take just minutes to bake up and are perfectly crispy. Great for dipping.

    Ingredients

    • Flour tortillas
    • Butter
    • Cinnamon and sugar

Brush each tortilla with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Slice tortilla into small triangles. Arrange on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes or until crispy.

I rarely use measurements. You just want enough melted butter on each tortilla to make the cinnamon and sugar stick. I always have a container of cinnamon and sugar on hand for sprinkling over food. I like using about a ½ cup of sugar with 1 Tbsp. cinnamon for my mixture

How To Slice Tortillas into Chip Sized Sections

You can simply cut your tortilla into 6 or 8 sections or you can make mini chips. I think mini chips are easier for my kids to eat. To do this, cut the tortilla into 6 sections (I use 8" tortillas). Then cut each section as pictured above, cutting the tip of the triangle off, then cutting the top into 3 additional triangles.

These cinnamon chips crisp up nicely in the oven and are best eaten fresh.

    bowl of fruit salad

You can dip the chips in fruit salad or fruit salsa. I like dicing up a variety of fresh fruit and drizzling it in fresh lime juice. Sweet and tangy.

Hi everyone! Brandy here, these chips are so yummy and delicious. I love that they are baked but are crispy and delicious like fried. Yummy on their own or with fruit salsa.

Hi Uncle Mike! For these, I use the cooked flour tortillas. 🙂 Hope you are doing well!
