Felt Carrot Candy Pouches Sewing Tutorial (Video)

A quick 10-minute project. These felt carrot candy pouches are perfect to tuck inside an Easter basket! If you like these, you’ll LOVE our felt bunny candy pouches!

These felt carrot candy pouches are so cute and are a GREAT beginning sewing project to make with kids! Felt is the perfect fabric to work with for projects like this because it is sturdy, doesn’t fray and sticks to itself so you only need to use a few pins. I even created a printable template to take out any guesswork.

You can make one in about 5 minutes. Pass them out as spring party favors or tuck them inside Easter baskets this year—I’ll leave it up to you! Just make sure to pick out some fun candies to fill them with candy.

 

Felt Carrot Candy Pouches for Easter

DIY FELT CARROT CANDY POUCHES

A quick 10-minute project. These felt carrot candy pouches are perfect to tuck inside an Easter basket!

Equipment

  • sewing machine
  • scissors

Materials

  • printable template
  • felt
  • ribbon
  • pins
  • candy

Instructions

  • Cut out your two felt pieces.

  • Pin the green felt to the top of the orange cone shape.
    green felt pinned to orange felt and stitched across top
  • Stitch using a 1/4" seam allowance.
  • Fold carrot in half, wrong side out. Stitch side seam.
  • Turn right-side out.
  • Cut 1/2" slits for the carrot top.

  • Fill with candy.

    Can you help me find the pattern for the felt carrots? The printable template looks like a bib pattern. Am I getting the right one?
