How to spray paint a baby food jar to create a candy jar:
1. Apply a small piece of contact paper in the shape of your choice to the front to create a peek a boo window after the jar has been spray painted. The contact paper creates a clean line when peeled off after painted.
Note: The spray paint that I used was an indoor/outdoor fast drying paint. It is great for many surfaces and stuck right to my jar. You can also use chalk paint or acrylic paint, but spray paint is definitely the quickest option.
2. Apply two thin coats of spray paint to the OUTSIDE of each jar.
3. Let each coat dry completely.
4. Remove contact paper after the paint has dried and you will have a perfect little window opening!
