When it comes to creative gift wrapping it's all about the details! Here is a quick and easy way to add a bit of personalization to any jar, vase, or glass cup with acid etching cream!

    Etched Honey Jars
I'm a sucker for cute jars. They are so fun to fill with goodies and gift to friends and family. I'm an even bigger sucker for cute jars that are already filled! I found these Don Victor® Honey jars at Walmart in the Hispanic aisle and knew they would be perfect paired with herbal tea and a mug as a holiday gift or even a get well basket for cold and flu season. Honey is amazing to me. It never goes bad, is the product of an insect, is the sweetest thing from nature, and has so many wonderful uses. So it really is a practical and thoughtful gift.

Here is how to add a simple etched design to the front of any jar! Line up your jars assembly line and you can easily etch several jars at once. I told you it was quick and easy!

1.Make a quick stencil out of a scrap piece of contact paper. I drew a tree, but you can also use a Cricut or other cutting machine to cut your design.

    2. Using a razor blade or Xacto knife, carefully go around your design. Peel the design off of the backing and your stencil is ready to apply to the jar.

    3. Center your stencil on your jar and press firmly around the entire design. Since the jar is rounded it will wrinkle, but that is ok as long as the stencil image is firmly in place.

    4. Apply acid etching cream according to instructions. I buy mine at my local craft store. You can also find it online. It usually runs about $10 a bottle, but it lasts a very long time and can be used to make dozens of projects.

    5. I like to apply mine with a popsicle stick. Nice and thick. Let stand 10 minutes.

    6. Rinse thoroughly under water and remove stencil. It won't look like it etched anything while it's wet, but as it dries the frosted image will appear.

Don Victor® Orange Blossom Comb Honey is absolutely delicious. It comes with actual honeycomb inside (that you can totally eat), making it a beautiful and gourmet gift. Serve on warm bread or with cheese and crackers for holiday entertaining!

I added an evergreen sprig and a mini honey dipper and my jar was complete!

I was surprised to find it in the Hispanic aisle, but after reading so many positive online reviews on Walmart.com about it I knew I had to try it for myself!

Who would you give this beautiful jar of honey to?
