I love simple comfort food. This recipe is just that! Just a few key ingredients is all it takes to pull together a delicious hearty meal. Perfect for a Sunday evening. We don’t get home from church until almost 5pm on Sundays and are all starving! It’s nice to either have something in the crock pot or a simple {under 30 minute} dinner in the works.

McCormick used Google data to identify the top 10 most-searched dinner recipe terms during the fall of 2012 and matched them with simple and flavorful McCormick recipes. I decided to try out one of their simple recipes. Here is how to make Home Style Pork Chops!

spice blend to season pork chops

Homestyle Pork Chops

1/2 tsp. McCormick® Thyme

1/2 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. McCormick® Black Pepper, ground

4 bone-in pork chops 1/2 ” thick, trimmed

1 T. oil

Mix paprika, thyme, salt and black pepper in small bowl. Sprinkle evenly over both sides of pork chops. Heat oil in large nonstick skillet on medium heat.

Add pork chops; cook 4 minutes per side or until desired doneness.

While the pork chops were cooking and cooling off a bit, we made some garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli to go with our meal.

It was the perfect Sunday evening meal! To find more great recipes from the top 10 most searched family dinners visit McCormick.com.
