These Milky Way teddy sleds are so fun! I'm sitting here having a hard time believing that the first time we made these, my oldest, who graduated high school a few years ago, was in the second grade! If you're looking for something even EASIER, be sure to check out our snowboarding polar bears. Yes, SNOWBOARDING polar bears, haha!

    Why I Like This Recipe

    • Fun for kids. These sleds are simple enough for kids to make. They can get creative and use different kinds of animal crackers or candy bars!
    • Perfect for parties. I brought these to a class Christmas party for 2nd graders, and they were a huge hit. The kids loved them!
    • Simple ingredients. You only need a few ingredients to make these candy sleds. Crackers, candy bars, candy canes, and frosting.

    What Others Are Saying

These would be a perfect addition to a gingerbread House! ---Hannah

Made these with the kiddos, and they turned out really cute! The crackers get a little soft after a couple of days so next time we'll make sure to eat them sooner or store them better. So fun.---Julie on Facebook.

    Tips and Tricks

    • Royal icing or frosting. Store-bought frosting is yummy and easy for kids to work with if making these for a snack. You can also use royal icing, which sets up quicker and works well if making sleds for a party.
    • Candy bars. Milky Way or Snickers fun-size bars work well. We had some leftover from trick-or-treat candy, and this was a great way to use them up!
    • Storage tips. Because they are made with a cracker, these sleds are best eaten the day that they are made. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

    Ingredients

Mini candy canes, candy bars and teddy grahams.

    • Teddy grahams
    • Miniature fun-sized Milky Way candy bars
    • Chocolate frosting

How To Make Teddy Candy Sleds

    Candy bar cut into thirds.

Step 1: Cut a fun-sized candy bar in thirds. Take the center piece out. (This helps the little sled fit onto the candy canes better.)

Hands sandwiching a graham cracker between two pieces of chocolate candy bar.

Step 2: Sandwich a little teddy graham cracker between the two candy bar pieces with a bit of chocolate frosting.

fingers placing candy bar on candy canes with frosting

Step 3: Spread a small amount of chocolate frosting on two mini candy canes. Place a candy bar on top of the candy canes.

Store candy sleds in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
