Oh, hello there! I'm assuming that you're here because you are a fan of chocolate hazelnut spread, and boy do I have a cookie recipe to share with you! Our Nutella cookies start with a brownie mix cookie base. Brownie cookies are SO good. Fudgey, thick and so chocolatey with the addition of a handful of mini chocolate chips. You are completely welcome to make the chocolate cookies from scratch (and if you do, be sure to use my chocolate cookie dough recipe), but a brownie mix makes for the perfect semi-homemade chocolate cookie dough base and flavor.

Once baked, they are spread with melty Nutella and sprinkled with chopped hazelnuts. Perfection. This recipe makes 20-24 perfectly chocolate Nutella cookies.

How To Make Brownie Nutella Cookies

    1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
    2. Combine brownie mix and flour in a large mixing bowl.
    3. Add melted butter and eggs and mix until smooth. You can mix using a stand mixer, but I like using my Danish dough hook.
    4. Stir in chocolate chips.
    5. Scoop cookie dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets using a medium cookie scoop (2 Tablespoon scoop) or roll into cookie dough balls. Bake cookies for 10 minutes.
    6. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for 3-5 minutes before transferring them to a wire cooling rack.
    7. Heat a container of Nutella in the microwave for 20-30 seconds.
    8. Spoon Nutella over cookies and spread with a butter knife or metal spatula. Sprinkle with chopped hazelnuts.
