Last year this little cutie asked me to take her to Home Depot the day before Father’s Day so that she could get a hammer. She said it needed to be a hammer with a wooden handle. I asked her why she needed a hammer and she said that she wanted to make a personalized hammer for Dad! No doubt something she saw online, and it was such a sweet gesture so I told her that I would absolutely take her to buy a hammer.

$5 DIY Personalized Hammer For Father’s Day
It doesn’t have to be a fancy hammer. Any wooden hammer will work just fine! We actually found this one at Walmart for $3.88. Such a price for a personalized gift like this. She searched online for some sentiments to put on the hammer and found these two.
Best Pens For Writing On Wood
She wrote the sentiments on the hammer using my favorite oil-based Sharpie pen. I’ve used these so many times because they work great and last a long time. Check out the Father’s Day Grill Platter that we made using these pens. My husband still uses it!
The pens are easy to use and dry quickly. They also have a nice smooth texture and don’t bleed because they are paint pens.
I love that she 100% made this gift on her own and was SO excited to give it to him. The dad in our home is pretty handy and can build just about anything. It was the perfect gift and he loved it.
