Oh me, oh my, you are my new favorite! A science kit for Christmas? I’m so promoting this on my STEM Mom site! My son, and my nephews are getting these for Christmas! Anytime we can encourage exploration and make science fun, we should!
This is the PERFECT gift and I have time to assemble it all before Christmas!
Yeah, I’m the cool aunt! (he-he)

Thank you SO much for this awesome idea! I was stumped when it came to buying a gift for my nephew’s birthday, mainly because he already has everything! This was the PERFECT answer to my dilemma. I couldn’t find the right sized cauldron so I used a big black bucket instead (only $2!) and I covered the top of it with a mound of bubble wrap to make it look like it was bubbling over.
I gave you credit for the idea when I posted my pics on facebook. 🙂
Hey…YOU are the one I was inspired by! It was bookmarked on my old computer that crashed and I was never able to find my inspiration again…..I will go back in my old post and update that right now so that I can link back to you! 🙂
I LOVE your science kit gift idea and want to use it for my nephew. Would you ever consider sharing your typed up instructions? Thanks!! gentzkelly at hotmail.com
I found you through the Handmade Gifts link party.
I might have to copy this idea. What a cool kit!
That’s an awesome gift … what kid wouldn’t love a ready-made science kit? I love that you have all the supplies included … makes it so much easier for mom too!

What a perfect gift for a young boy. I think they are the hardest to please. You are so clever.
Love it! Really clever. Btw you can buy large gift bags at the dollar store. It comes with string to tie it and a gift card. Just for future reference if you ever need to “wrap” something giant without using up all the paper. =)
What a great idea! You probably provided hours of fun for this family!!
