12 Days of Christmas gift! 12 pieces of candy, each labeled with a QR code to an inspirational Christmas video! This is a fun gift idea for teens, families, friends, and neighbors! 2026 Update: I now have a set that LDS missionaries can use!

One of the challenges of giving gifts to teens is coming up with something practical, yet engaging. These 12 days of Christmas gifts won't end up on a shelf collecting dust or in the trash (at least not right away). It includes 12 Christmas videos to brighten their day in the 12 days leading up to Christmas. It also includes CHOCOLATE.
All of the videos are New Testament-based, and the Studio C comedy videos are good, clean fun for the whole family! If you printed out the QR codes last year and are looking for new codes to share with friends this year I've got you covered!

Every year I add a new set of labels and QR codes. Click here to see the candies we used last year (cheaper than Ghirardelli).
What Others Are Saying
I gave them to my single sister friends, youth in the ward, and a non-member friend. Our Bishop was so impressed with the videos and my nonmember friend took hers to work for her coworkers to scan also. Thanks for sharing the gospel with others through this 12 Days of Christmas activity. I can’t wait to do this again next year.
My daughter gave them as a gift to her high school besties, and they loved it!! We’re even planning to gift the teacher & school buses with them!! You never know the impact you can make with those inspired messages!

12 Days of Christmas QR Codes
Original Sets: The QR codes link to a selection of YouTube videos from the Latter-day Saints Channel, The Piano Guys, The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, Studio C, the Strive to Be Channel, and other uplifting accounts. The QR codes are on a printable sheet that can be downloaded in the supplies section and at the end of the post.
There are currently 6 sets available. Set 1 was the first set I made back in 2021, and I've added a new one every year. The newest set, set 6 (2026), was recently added to the collection. If you are giving them to youth, these sets will last from ages 12-18, their entire time in the youth program!
For LDS missionaries, I have sets that only link to videos on churchofjesuschrist.org. These videos and QR codes are compatible with missionary-issued phones and have been tested by missionaries to confirm. This means that you can send these codes as Christmas gifts to your missionaries or email them to missionaries serving in areas that cannot receive packages. I created 2 sets for missionaries so that you can send them as Christmas gifts both years that they are away!
Device-Free Option: For those who would need a device-free option, I've included printable labels with 12 scripture references from the New Testament and the Book of Mormon.

Each QR code is cut out and attached to the back of a piece of candy. You can use Ghirardelli chocolate squares, peppermint patties, or a variety of holiday candies depending on your budget.
✂️ Supplies

- 16 oz. containers with lids
- Ghirardelli Chocolates (or any kind of candy)
- Paper Shred (optional, and also sold at dollar stores)
- Copy Paper
- Scissors
- glue dots, mounting squares, or double-sided tape
- Printable QR Codes and Labels (folder with all 6 sets)
- Missionary QR Codes and Labels (folder with 2 sets)

How To Assemble 12 Days of Christmas Containers
I love these containers and use them for my simmer pot potpourri gifts and for packaging up homemade granola to give away. They are perfect for holding 12 pieces of candy. You can add a bit of paper shred to fill in any gaps, but it really isn't necessary. The printable lids fit these containers EXACTLY. If you use different containers, simply attach the label to the front or side, or tie the label on with string!
- Step 1: To assemble, cut out the QR codes and adhere them to the candy using glue dots.
- Step 2: Cut out the label and adhere it to the container lid using glue dots.
- Step 3: Pack the container with the candy, then add the lid!

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! I recently created a set that works with missionary-issued phones. The QR codes link to churchofjesuschrist.org, so missionaries can watch the videos and share them with their friends.
Absolutely! While the labels fit perfectly on the containers that I used, you can glue or tape them to the front of plastic baggies or small gift boxes.
I used static QR codes, which means that they will last forever. There is no expiration, so as long as the videos are still listed on Youtube, the codes will work! This means that you don't need to use the most current set. You can go back to the first set and use it if you'd like, or rotate through the years.

Thanks so much for this wonderful idea!! We are making these for a relief society activity and giving some of them to the sister missionaries to hand out. Could I please get the jpeg or png version so we can use a cricut to cut them out? Thanks for sharing your talents with us.
Brandy says
Absolutely. I'll send it to the email in your profile.

Brandy,
I love this idea, thank you! We will be handing them out to all 40 of our young women for Christmas this year and I know they'll love them. I can't seem to find a label in red or green to match this years QR codes that doesn't have the writing on it, all I can see is the aqua. Am I just missing it? Thanks for your help and for making this available.
Brandy says
Hi! The plain teal labels were made to go with the scripture version (for those who don’t have access to a device). I only made a 2021 version of the scriptures so I did not make plain red or green labels. 🙂
Teresa says
I just can't thank you enough for this wonderful idea. I am over Relief Society Evening Meetings and we will be giving these out to our sisters this year for their Christmas presents. I appreciate all your effort and time in sharing this with others. Thank you!

Sure! I'll forward the codes to your email.
Andrea Urban says
I have a cricket as well, but haven’t used it for anything but vinyl, and would love Instructions on how do do the cutting with that. Do you know?
Brandy says
I have one too but haven’t tried it either. I’ve had so many ladies request the png files to cut with their Cricut so I’m sure there’s a way! If you decide to try that route let me know and I can email the file to you. 😀
KH says
Are there two sets of the QR codes per page? I see it is “12 days” for each year but 24 codes per year. Thanks! Such a great idea!
Brandy says
Each page has two sets (to save paper). You only need 12 per year.
Melissa says
I would love the png files for Cricut as well, PLEASE 🙂 [email protected] Thank you!
Karen Magleby says
I am doing year 2021 and 2022 together for a 24 days of Christmas. Would it be possible to get one more QR code with a new video since there is a repeat of video (Far Away) in each year? I don't know how hard it is to make the QR code since it is far beyond my skills. Just thought I would check.
Brandy says
Hi Karen! I had that one repeat since it's the only Christmas video on the Strive to Be Youtube Channel, haha! You can make a QR code for any link using this free generator. It's easy! This way you can make one for your favorite Christmas video! https://www.qrcode-monkey.com
Megan says
Hello! I am wondering if it's possible to get a page of the QR code for The Christ Child (#12 in 2021)? My daughter is a missionary and would love to glue this on to some hand written cards with her testimony. Would it work to email me the QR code and I can just copy and paste it to get maybe 24 on a page? I don't know if that even makes sense haha! Let me know! Thank you!
Andrea Patterson says
Thank you so much for sharing! I did this last year for my kids, and they loved it! Thank you for doing another one for 2022..... you're the best!

I love the 2022 12 days of Christmas!! We are planning to do this project as a RS but when I download the QR codes to print, the 4th 8th and 12th day QR codes are cut off on the right hand side. Is there a way to get those QR codes (2022)?
Thank you so much for sharing your talent!!
Brandy says
Hi Sharla! They aren’t cut off for me. I’m not sure why yours are! Is your screen set to 100%?
Angie Miner says
I Love these so much!!! Is there any way I can get a PNG file so I can print stickers?
Thank you!!!!
Brandy says
Yep! I tried emailing them, but it keeps saying there is a failure. I’ll upload them to a google link and post that here tomorrow for you.
