Hot cocoa mix, ice, and milk blend together for this delicious and creamy frozen hot cocoa! Top with whipped cream and cocoa powder.  If you like this frozen hot cocoa you might also like our no churn peppermint ice cream! or our super popular hot chocolate bombs!

Watch our step by step video!

    Frozen Hot Cocoa

Frozen hot cocoa is just about the yummiest oxymoron out there. When the temps begin to drop we set up a hot cocoa station that stays out until February. Nothing beats a warm cup of cocoa---but there is just something about this frosty cup that makes it a special winter treat, too!
It's as simple as 3 ingredients.
clear mug of frozen hot cocoa on red, black and white hand towel

    Frozen Hot Chocolate Ingredients

    • 1 c. milk
    • 1 ½ c. ice
    •  1 packet (or 3 heaping Tablespoons) hot cocoa mix
    • whipped cream (optional)
    • cocoa powder (optional)
Combine ice, milk and hot cocoa mix into a blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into a mug and add a large dollop of whipped cream. Sprinkle with cocoa powder for dusting.

    Hot Cocoa Add-Ins

Have fun customizing your cocoa! You can add a spoonful of peanut butter into the blender, mini chocolate chips, or even crushed candy canes on top! Enjoy in the summer or winter!

Note: You can use 3 heaping tablespoons of hot cocoa mix (if you have a canister instead of packets)

      I love this recipe.
For chocolate lovers, I added 2 packets of hot cocoa mix instead of 1 and it came out perfect.

Yum, this is perfect for my hot cocoa bar since I live in Florida. Sometimes it is too hot for hot drinks even in the winter.
