My brown bunny treat bags are ridiculously easy to make and so cute for filling with popcorn or spring treats.

    Why I Like This Craft

    • Inexpensive. I love how easy it is to make these bags with a brown paper bag. You can use white or colored bags, too!
    • Doubles as an Easter basket. Fill the bags with Easter grass, plastic eggs and candy!
    • Quick craft. These bags take just minutes to make. Easy to make a bunch for a class party. These bags are just the right size to fill with a bag of microwave popcorn.  They also make great centerpieces filled with our bunny bait snack mix.

    Tips and Tricks

    • Customization ideas. If you'd like to get really creative, pull out some craft eyes, glue, some pipe cleaners for whiskers, and a pom pom for a bunny tail!
    • Bunny ears. You'll notice that the bags have ears at the front and at the back. When I cut the ears, I decided to leave all 4, but you can cut off the back two if you'd like.

How To Make Brown Bag Bunny Bags

Brown lunch sack with bunny outline drawn on front.

Step 1: Using the photo as a guide, draw two ears and connect them with a line in the center.

Hand cutting around bunny ears with scissors.

Step 2: Trim around the outline with scissors.

Hand holding scissors and trimming brown bag.

Step 3: When you open the bag, there will be 8 ears, 2 on each side. Cut off the side ears of the bag, leaving only the front and back ears.

Note: You can cut off the back ears as well. I left mine on so that the front and back of the bag would look the same.
